MUNICIPAL COURT CLERK
Starting Salary: NO POSITION AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME Pay Grade: Non-Exempt

The primary function of the Municipal Court Clerk position is to manage the day to day functions of the court office and staff assigned to the Municipal Court for the City of Bel-Ridge. Work is performed under the direction of the Board of Trustees and is reviewed through observations, conferences and the evaluation of programs.
The successful candidate will possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities: Knowledgeable of municipal court procedures and related rules of order; ability to work with all court personnel including the Judge and Prosecutor. Must possess diplomacy, tact and finesse. Ability to maintain municipal court records, manage dockets, basic math for accounting; account for fines and fees for payments. Must be able to perform court administrative duties. Knowledge of City ordinances; written and verbal communication skills, ability to complete work with minimal errors; strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
At least two years’ experience in advanced administrative work or clerical; prefer court, law, government or police experience; advanced knowledge of legal and court terminology; must be currently CJIS certified or able to be certified in the first six months of employment; current JIS experience helpful; current REJIS experience.
Certification through the Missouri Association for Court Administration. Associates degree in Court Administration or closely related field.
